About

I am a PhD student interested in computational rationality in AIs and heuristics-driven rationality in humans. Ability to predict the future and to order possible states of the world according to one’s preferences are both crucial to win. Thus, I reason about epistemology and moral philosophy.

The name of the blog comes from Loopy Belief Propagation algorithm — a method used to determine a stable set of beliefs in a probabilistic graph. The idea of coherence is important for me. You always need some assumptions in your model, there is no getting away from that. But at the very least your model should be self-consistent.
